Hiking arrangement

The Morvan, a nature park with many lakes, small rivers and wells, is situated in the heart of the Bourgogne region. It is a peaceful and varied region with many oak and beech forests, small-scale livestock-farming, and a slide landscape.

Our picturesque hotel is as cosy as a ‘chambre d’hotes’ and is situated in the centre of the Morvan region, that challenges our guests to make splendid hiking tours. Sur Yonne provides the perfect starting point.
We have selected 6 fabulous hiking routes for this arrangement. Four routes depart from Sur Yonne. For the other two, we bring you to the starting point of routes that will lead you back to the hotel.

Description hiking routes:
Physical challenge: 3-7walking hours through the hillsides.
Day 1: arrival at Bellevault before dinner (7.00 p.m.).
Day 2: Bois de Coulon, 12 or 16 km .
Day 3: Canal du Nivernais, route along the magnificent canal with 16 locks, 22 km.
Day 4: transfer to Montigny en Morvan, a gorgeous route, via the Aquaduct, back to Bellevault, 14 km.
Day 5: along hedges and pastures, 16 km.
Day 6: transfer to Corbigny- Bellevault, 13 or 15 km.
Day 7: Chapelle Saint Elymon, 12 km.
Day 8: departure after breakfast, with lunch box.

The hiking routes vary from 12-22 km. A choice can be made out of more than 20 planned tours. If you wish to make shorter of longer hiking trips, we can easily adapt the scheme for you.

Per person for 2 persons per room.

Included:

• Welcoming drink

• 7 times overnight stay with breakfast and facility to assemble your lunch box.

• 7 times ‘menu du jour’, a French-style, 3-course dinner, drinks not included.

• Information folder with Dutch or Frenche route descriptions and a road map.

Not included:

• The travel to Sur Yonne. We provide a pick-up service from Nevers train station (price: € 115,00 return, maximum of 4 persons, includes arrival and departure).

• Tourist tax.
