We, Peter & Annemieke Kromhout, are a Dutch couple with a Mediterranean lifestyle. Cooking is our passion and this is reflected in our Menu du Terroir. Hospitality and good cooking are some of our most important virtues.
Our guests can take cool refreshments from the restaurant’s refrigerator, to be paid at a later moment.
‘Menu du Terroir’
The menu of the Menu du Terroir will be announced on the chalkboard at the restaurant’s entrance. We serve a daily varying, Mediterranean 3-course dinner. All meals are freshly prepared, preferably using regional products.
You can have dinner together with other guests at our large dinner table or enjoy a more intimate dinner for two or with your family at a separate table. When the weather allows it, dinner can be served at the outside terrace.
The Menu du Terroir is served at 7.00 p.m. You can sign up each day before 10.00 a.m. A vegetarian variant can be served if notified in advance.
We will regularly organise a barbecue at the terrace, in case of which the Menu du Terroir is cancelled.
We can adjust the ‘menu Gastronomiuqe’ to children’s needs if requested in advance.
Our wine card
A nice dinner needs to be accompanied by a fine wine. We enjoy to offer our guests a taste of the excellent wines of the Bourgogne region. We have selected some great wines for you from the local small wine-farms.
Breakfast is served between 8.30 and 11.00 a.m. You can choose from various sorts of bread, yoghurt with cereals, meat products, cheeses, preserves, and honey. Several times a week we serve fresh fruits and eggs.
If you go on a day trip, you can bring a lunch box. The lunch box consists of a drink, fresh fruit, and a piece of bread that you have prepared yourself during breakfast. Also a good idea for a traveling day. If you wish to take out a lunch box, please notify us the day before or when you book your stay at Sur Yonne.
